I just haven't been feeling well today, which meant that I haven't done any writing. Hopefully by the time tomorrow comes I'll be better and more able to get down to some serious writing. I may even end up having to take an early night, which I don't really want to, ah well!

I've been rather productive today, I spent over 90 minuets for my writing challenge today. My total currently stands at 2,012 :-). I know that it should be a lot higher than that, but I'm certainly gonna do a lot more typing tomorrow for it.

11:14 pm - National Novel Writing Month!
Today I've just started a major project, one that should hopefully bring me good fortune. Every year, during the month of November, there's this novel writing contest that happens. It's basically a challenge for people to write 50,000 words by the end of the month, i.e. the 30th. I've started it but only have managed 751 words of it today. Still got a long way to go. I'll be keeping everyone posted with my running total. They also have a specail thing which I can add to my profile which'll tell everyone my current total. I hope you can understand, but I'd rather not let anyone know what it's about at the moment, mostly as I'd rather wait until it's almost finished first.

11:51 pm - A productive evening
I know it's been quite some time since I last updated this LJ, after the evening I've just had I felt the need to do so.

Basically I spent 4 hours this evening (with a break of an hour to watch a prog) working on my websites. The first one was to do with the associates programme that I'm helping my dad's company with. He wants me to write articles and create webpages for each associate who wants it, so that they can better let people know about the said product(s). I completed my associates page which we're going to use as an example page for them, letting them see the kind of article and page I could make for them. If you wanna take a butchers, here's the link.

I also started to create pages for my directory site. I've only done a couple so far, but I'm pleased with the progress results. The first one I did was on blogs, the other on emails. I'll include the link in a moment.

I'd love to know what each of you think about these sites.

This morning was very productive, I actually wrote the text for my new hompage for one of my writing sites. I'll be publishing this here later.

During the afternoon I went to watch Brentford beat Bradford 2-1. On my way back I listened to then watched the England v Andorda game. I'll be posting tomorrow my thoughts on both games.

This evening I watched a documentary on 9/11. It was rather moving and sensitively put together.

This is just a brief highlight. I'll explain more tomorrow when I'm not so tired.

11:09 pm - The challenges ahead!
I got a call from my boss this morning letting me know that there wasn't any work for me today and so I needn't go in.

One of the main things I did in the morning was go do laundry. I would've had to have done that tomorrow anyways, this meant that I could relax more before the match. I also did a few other things around here during the rest of the day.

Today I started a couple of new challenges. The first of these is that I'm going to try and have at least 1 orgasm for everyday from now until 31 December. I'll be making reports each day as to how that challenge is going. I won't be posting it here, however, but to my [info]tozza LJ. This is because that one is more geared my more sexual development and desires.

The other one is the 50 book challenge. This is where I'm going to read at least 50 books from now till 31 August 2007. With novels I'm aiming to read only new books with 1 book being from a new author (to me) each month. I will include other types of books, but they can be read at any time (only counting if I've read them from cover to cover) plus I can read more of these at anyone time. They can be ones I've read before. I'm nearly half way through the first novel and I only started that today, lol.

10:00 pm - Finding my niche?!
I had a very interesting thought this evening, concerning my writing. At this point in time I'm wanting to write articles so that I can get experience and earn money. The last article I'd written was a biographical piece for this woman who wanted it to help advertise her skin care clinic. On thinking back on that I realised that I CAN write biographical pieces. I'm even thinking that I can start writing biographies.

I do feel that this is one of my main genres for me to concentrate on. I've gotten several ideas for biographical articles already.

One thing though, I'm currently rebuilding my website. I'm very much on the look out for people I can write an article for, the only renumeration being a testamonial (this is for a limited time). If you'd like me to write an article for you, be it biographical or otherwise, for your website or elsewhere, then feel free to leave a comment. I'd gladly do this, for only a few people, in return for a testamonial and permission to use the article as part of my portfolio.

10:41 pm - Phew! What a scorcher...
Well it certainly was a hot one today, reaching 32 (90 in old money) by late afternoon. Walking in it was very lethargic, it's an occasion when you deffinately needed to have some water with you whilst being out. They say that it's going to last for a another few more days. I don't mind it.

This evening was rather a productive one. I spent 2 hours, with a few mins break in the middle, writting a sales page for someone. Well rewriting it acutally. Hopefully that person likes it. This job was purely for a testamonial, i.e. it was done for free.

9:37 pm - My top 5...
In an effort to help my friends and readers get to know me I'm going to start letting you all know my top 5 in many different catagories. Generally these lists will be in alphabetical order, unless otherwise stated. I'm esp. going to make these posts when there's nothing much for me to post about :-p, lol. Where ever possible I'll provide links to official sites, other wise I'll provide links to their Wikipedia page. Well here goes my first list...

If you can think of other catagories in which you'd like to know my top 5, then feel free to let me know and I'll do my best to answer :-).

Well today I've just gotten my first cold in quite a while. For the past few days my throat has been rather sore and yesterday my nose started running. This morning it really flared up. I had to call off going to Michael's for I know how he feels about not wanting to risk getting ill.

At the moment I'm wanting to look for alternative methods of helping me over come this cold. I've decided that as much as possible I want to start using natural remedies rather than "alternative medicens". By alternative I mean pharmasuitcals. I would like very much to start building a medicine cabinate full of natural remedies for common ailments.

So any advice would be greatly appreciated.

8:06 pm - First night of the Proms!
This year's Proms have just started. It's a huge annual event that's held in the Royal Albert Hall over a month and a bit. It's designed to celebrate classical music in all its forms. This year's event will feature a lot of Motzart for it's his 250th birthday. Being as I have a mild interest in Classical Music I'll certainly be watching the event. Though mostly I'll have it on in the background when I'm working.

For a general over view of the Proms you can click HERE. For those of you who are unable to watch the performances on TV the proms are broadcast live on BBC Radio 3.

7:47 pm - This week's [info]altfriday5
1. Are there any foods that you eat or don't eat for ethical reasons? Why?
I don't eat meat/sea food. Mostly for health reasons, but there's also the fact that I don't like the way that meat and sea food products are prepared. I also try not to eat foods that originated from countries too far away.

2. Are there any foods that you eat or don't eat for health reasons? Why?
Anything that's made with cow's milk. This is mostly because I'm lactose intolerent. Though I do eat a little bit of cheese now and then (too small for my body to start reacting to it).

3. Are there any foods you don't eat because they disgust you (perhaps because of the taste, texture, or method of preparation)?
Meat/sea food and mushrooms.

4. Did you ever fight with your parent(s) about what to eat? Are there any foods that you hated as a child that you like now?
To be honest, I can't think of anything right now.

5. What, in your opinion, is the biggest thing wrong with our current methods and systems of food production and distribution? What is the biggest thing right with them?
The main problem is "food miles". The fact that some out of season produce travels thousands of miles. Where ever possible I try and buy produce that's grown as close to me as possible.

7:40 pm - This weeks [info]thefridayfive
1. What about you makes you unique?
I can't really think of anything. Sad I know *shrugs*.

2. What aspect of your physical appearance do you think makes you stick out from the crowd?
I have a big scar on the top part of my chest where I had an operation on my wind pipe when I was a toddler.

3. What do you always have with you while out in public? (for example, earrings, purse, wallet, watch, etc.)
Mobile. Portable DAB radio. Drink (I can't go for too long without). Wallet. Coin Purse. Rucksack.

4. Is there anything about your body that you think isn't normal?
The scar, as I'd already mentioned. Also I have dodgy knees which means I'm unable to run properly.

5. What are you complimented on (looks, smarts, anything) the most? Why do you think that's the case?
I generally don't get complements, but that doesn't bother me.

10:55 pm - Britain goes nucleor!!!
The government today has announced that there're going to be 6 new nucleor power plants to be built over the next few years. You can read the story by clicking HERE.

I'm not happy about this, for I disagree with the nucleor approach. I prefer renuable sources of power to be used as much as possible. Though there's one thing that most people tend to forget... Britain is an island. That means we have seas all around us which can provide a lot of our power. This is the alternative technology that should be used, along with solar and wind power.

Once I've researched the topic I'll be writing an article as to how I feel things should be done. Though in the mean time you can find out more on renewable sources of power by visiting the Center for Alternative Technology home page.

11:38 pm - The London Moot
This evening I attended a moot organised by Pagan Network. It was the first one that I had attended for almost a year. It was a small gathering. I was also pleased to discover that there was a TV in the room where we were, this enabled us to watch Doctor Who.

Probably the most interesting part of it was meeting this American couple [info]burryman and [info]velvetdahlia. We had a good talk and was surprised to learn that they lived in Acton which is the next town over from me (Ealing) *grins*, i.e. they're less than a mile away from where I'm sitting now. As they're living so close, I sure do hope that we can meet up for a drink sometime. It certainly would be wonderful to get to know other pagans in the area.
